The volleyball team will host the Dig for the Cure match vs. Mount Mercy College at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1 in the Varsity Athletics Center. Short and long sleeve t-shirts will be sold starting at 4 p.m. outside the VAC weather permitting, in the lobby in case of bad weather. Proceeds will benefit breast cancer research.

 

Free tickets to the St. Francis Day Lunch Friday, Oct. 3 in the Student Union cafeteria are available for employees and students without a meal plan at the Student Development Center reception desk. Lunch is available from 11 a.m.–1:15 p.m.

 

The October VSNA meeting will be Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. In the School of Nursing Building 196. Come hear a nurse speak about her previous experience as a traveling nurse, as well as learn about a number of volunteer opportunities available. Reminder, this Wednesday is the last day you can sign up and receive your club t-shirt with membership dues. Shirt orders will be placed after the meeting.

 

Volunteer opportunity: V-Hawks for Life will be visiting the Benedictine Living Center from 2–5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5. Anyone is welcome to join them any time in those hours. Contact Hunter at hbeggs08513@viterbo.edu for any rides needed.

The Student Dietetics Association will host a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for Viterbo Days Friday, Oct. 10 from 4:30­–6:30 p.m in the School of Nursing Building 195. Everything is homemade and includes spaghetti, meatballs, garlic bread, salad with a red wine vinaigrette dressing, and dessert. Dine in or take out is available. Pre-registration is preferred. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Register online at www.viterbo.edu/viterbodays.

 

Sign up for the Six Flags bus trip Oct. 25 until Friday, Oct. 10. Space is limited. Cost is $25 which includes coach bus, sack lunch, snacks, and a Six Flags ticket.
